Visit Leeds Castle to the east of the village of Leeds near Maidstone. A castle has existed on the site since 1119, It is built on islands in a lake formed by the River Len. The present castle dates is in the Tudor style and was completed in 1823. The grounds include a maze with an exit through a shell grotto. There is a golf course and a museum of dog collars! Hever Castle is a tourist attraction, with its mazes, gardens and lake plus links to Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII. Located near Edenbridge, 30 miles (48 km) south-east of London. It was built in the 13th century as a country house. From 1462 to 1539, it was the seat of the Boleyn family. The grounds include a lake, a yew maze and a water maze. There is a tower maze in the children’s adventure playground. The castle gardens contain a wide range of features, including an Italianate garden with Fernery, rose gardens, herb garden, and topiary.
