Windsor Castle

A Windsor Castle day trip is a very popular choice with our London visitors. If you wish to see the Changing of the Guard at Windsor Castle, this usually takes place at 11am, Mondays to Saturdays from April until the end of July.

Windsor Castle is a royal residence at Windsor in the English county of Berkshire. Originally built by William the Conqueror in the 11th century after the Norman invasion of England. The castle has been used by the reigning monarch since the time of Henry I, and is the longest-occupied palace in Europe.

It is a popular tourist attraction, a venue for hosting state visits, and used to be the preferred weekend home of Queen Elizabeth II.

Windsor Great Park

Windsor Great Park is a 5000 acre Royal Park, including a deer park. It is adjacent to the private 650 acres Home Park, which is nearer the castle. The park was the private hunting ground of Windsor Castle and dates primarily from the mid-13th century. Most parts of the park are open to the public, free of charge, although there is a charge to enter Savill Garden.
